Dr. Robert Fetherston, D.V.M.
Dr. Fetherston is the owner of the Town and Country Animal Clinic and has been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery since the clinic’s opening in 1980. He started his career as a small animal and equine veterinarian in Essex County. His childhood upbringing in North Bay on a hobby horse farm and love of medical science prepared him for his education at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Since graduation, Dr. Fetherston has enjoyed all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, as well as a special interest in small animal dermatology and internal medicine. He also still makes time for his love of horses by practicing equine preventative medicine.
Dr. Fetherston and the Town and Country Animal Clinic believe in supporting the community that use their services. They have donated both time and resources to the LaSalle Vollmer Complex, Windsor Essex County Humane Society, Cystic Fibrosis Association, Cooperative Education programs at local high schools, dog shows, horse shows, and many local pet rescue organizations.
Dr. Fetherston enjoys volunteering time to community organizations and service groups, such as the LaSalle Business Association and LaSalle Kin Club. Outside the practice, “Bob”, as he likes to be called, enjoys playing tennis, golfing, skiing and boating with his family. He lives nearby with his wife, children and family dog Tucker.
