    Carole

    Client Care/Receptionist

Carole is an outgoing, friendly receptionist that truly loves people and pets. She joined our team in 2010, when she accepted Dr. Fetherston’s offer to join our team. In her words, “My first love is helping animals!” She and her husband Tom have been clients at the Town and Country Animal Clinic for 30 years. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Carole came to Windsor 30 years ago to attend St. Clair College Pharmacy Technician program. After graduation, she assisted her husband with the training of Standard Bred horses that raced throughout Canada and the United States.  Carole is fortunate to be bilingual in English and French, occasionally pulling from her French background when speaking!

Next to pets, horses are her second love. In her spare time, Carole likes to rescue animals, something she’s been doing for over 25 years. She, her husband and their son, are the proud caretakers of numerous small animals. Ask her about them!

    Kitrina, RVT

    Veterinary Technician

Town and Country Animal Clinic welcomed Kitrina to our team in May of 2013.  She will be one of the smiling faces that you meet when you visit our clinic.  Kitrina graduated from St. Clair College in 2003 as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  Upon graduation, she achieved the Essex County Veterinary Association Award for Clinical Excellence.  It is her goal to ensure that every experience at our clinic is a pleasant one for both you and your pet.  Kitrina has worked in small animal practice within the city since her graduation as well as in an Ophthalmology practice while living in the GTA.  This background in ophthalmology created a love for “all things eyes” and the ocular care of our patients.

Her love for animals began at a young age, which has given her the compassion to provide the best possible care to your pet.  When she is not here at the Town and Country Animal Clinic, she has the privilege of instructing Veterinary Technician students at St. Clair College on a part time basis.  Her time off is spent with her husband and her two sons enjoying their family pets, Dusty Cathopper (a feline aptly named after Dusty Crophopper from the movie Planes!) and Roen, an English Setter she adopted from the Veterinary Technician program.  Kitrina looks forward to meeting you and your furry family soon!

    Anna

Anna joined our Technician team in 2018. After graduating from St. Clair College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2014, she travelled to Guatemala to volunteer. Her experience there allowed her to help rehabilitate and care for many exotic animals such as macaws, otters and even monkeys!

She has gained a wealth of experience by working in a busy emergency clinic in Calgary, and is currently working towards completing her bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Windsor. She has a special interest in small animal dentistry, and works diligently in compassionately caring for all our patients.

Anna resides in her hometown of Wheatley, with her two trusted felines Leroy and Lenny. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing hockey and travelling.

    Christina

Christina is our lead Animal Care Assistant. After completing her Co-Op placement in 2015, she volunteered with us until being welcomed to our team that summer. She has always impressed us with her initiative, and most of all with her love for our patients.

She divides her time between clerical duties at the front desk, assisting in exam rooms and laboratory, and pet boarding care. She ensures the clinic is fully stocked with pet foods and supplies, and especially loves to keep our beautiful clinic spotless.

Christina will be pursuing a future in the human medical field, by completing the Registered Practical Nurse Program at St. Clair College. In her free time, she enjoys being close to family, friends and her lovely cockapoo Bella.

She loves to help out in the treatment area by comforting our patients, and pays special attention to the pets in our boarding kennel.

She is currently a grade 12 student at Sandwich Secondary, and plans to attend St. Clair College’s Graphic Design program. She leads the LaSalle Athletics travel softball team as assistant captain, and enjoys spending time at home with her sweet Shih-Tzu Bella, and her cats Ginger and Tobiko.

    Louise

    Professional Groomer

Louise has been our groomer at Town and Country Animal Clinic for 10 years. During that time, she has groomed many different breeds of dogs. Her love of dogs began 30 years ago, at her family dog breeding business, Quiche Kennels, in Maidstone. This kennel is currently the leading breeder of Bouviers in Canada and the United States. Louise believes strongly in the human-animal bond and feels that pet owners should care for their pet’s hair coat much the same way they care for their own hair. Regular bathing and grooming make pets feel good about themselves and helps keep them healthy.

Louise applies all of her professional pet grooming skills and invites you to take advantage of our contemporary pet spa for your pet’s regular grooming and bathing needs. Leave your pet’s beauty in Louise’s hands. In her rare spare time, Louise is a travel enthusiast. She frequently travels around North America and Europe on “dog business”!
